The Kemp Town Bookshop is a venue for evening courses or weekend workshops in creative writing, poetry, literature appreciation, drawing, philosophy and more. Tutors are experienced. Most are from Sussex University and are established practitioners of their subject with books and poetry collections to their names. Several students of the courses have gone on to publish, and in conjunction with Biscuit Jar Publications the bookshop has itself published pieces and collections arising from the evening events.
