Time it takes

We have a fast - often next day - ordering service, and can obtain virtually any book in print. We hope you will be able to visit the Bookshop in person where you may place or collect book orders, but we welcome telephone, postal or e-mail enquiries, and fulfill orders from customers all over the world.

We may already have the book or books in stock, in which case we shall send them to you without delay or notify you that they are ready for collection. Alternatively, as long as the books are in print, we will acquire the books for you and send them or notify you as soon as they arrive at the shop. For online ordering please let us know the titles you require by filling in as much as you can of the order form below:

Notification of orders:

Mail Orders: We will contact you by telephone just prior to despatch of your order, and take payment at that point. We will notify you if, for any reason, there are unexpected delays in acquiring or sending the books to you.

Collection Orders: If you are collecting your order from the Bookshop, we will telephone you or e-mail you when the order is in stock. Again, we will notify you if, for any reason, there are unexpected delays in acquiring or sending the books to you.

What it costs:

We send books world wide - first class within the UK, and via airmail to the rest of the world. Postage is charged to you according to the value of the books you have ordered (as displayed in the table below). If you are ordering several books at once you will be charged according to the total cost of the books.

Time it takes:

We endeavour to send books to our customers as quickly as possible. Usually this means that your books will arrive with you within a week of placing your order but please allow a maximum of three weeks for delivery. If books are for any reason unduly delayed we will notify you.

We aim to send all books on a single order to you at one time, but if a part of the order is expected to be delayed (perhaps by being reprinted) or is temporarily unavailable (due, for instance, to levels of demand) we may send you the books in separate consignments.
