Kemptown Bookshop, Brighton’s oldest independent bookshop, is looking for a new bookshop manager. You will be responsible for the overall operation of Kemptown Bookshop and its cafe. You will lead a small team of dedicated booksellers and baristas, ensure we remain a community hub and celebrate local authors and all that is fantastic about Brighton. Overall you will help to make Kemptown Bookshop the place to go in Brighton for those who love the written word. 

Skills/ experience required

• Experience of working as a bookseller essential – ideally 3+ years (part-time is fine)

• Barista trained and passionate about making great coffee

• A love of books and reading

• Knowledge of children/ YA books a bonus

• Experience managing a small team ideal but not necessary
