Book Subscription Box

Are you stuck for the perfect gift for the friend who has everything? Or are you just looking to expand your own reading? Our book subscription service could be the answer. The monthly subscription includes a newly-released hardback or paperback fiction book chosen by our team of experienced booksellers – sustainably gift-wrapped – a literary-themed postcard, and a bookmark, together with a drink and a snack to enjoy with the book.

We offer three levels of subscription and the cost depends on where in the UK you live. Local subscribers will have their order delivered by hand which keeps costs low.

For readers in Brighton and Hove (postcodes BN1, BN2 and BN3)

Three-month subscription: £41 (paperback); £65 (hardback)
Six-month subscription: £75 (paperback); £120 (hardback)
12-month subscription: £150 (paperback); £230 (hardback). This also includes a limited edition tote bag with a design by local illustrator Lisa Holdcroft.

For UK readers outside of Brighton and Hove

Three-month subscription: £58 (paperback); £80 (hardback)
Six-month subscription: £105 (paperback); £145 (hardback)
12-month subscription: £210 (paperback); £290 (hardback). This also includes a limited edition tote bag with a design by local illustrator Lisa Holdcroft.

To set up your subscription, email orders@kemptownbookshop.co.uk with your address, how long you want your subscription for and whether you want the paperback or hardback option. We require full payment in advance for each subscription box.
